The Hampton Inn at the Georgetown Marina
has offered us a special rate of $129.00 per night. Mention the group name SC Entomology when booking (843.545.5000). This rate appears to be above the GSA rate (the website does not have rates for October 2017 yet). Quality Inn & Suites has reserved a special rate of $81.99 per night for our group. Call 843.546.5656 and mention SC Entomological Society when you book to receive the special rate.

For students and others who are looking for more rustic (cheaper) lodging, there is a cottage available. Contact Alreda Grate at if you want to use the cottage that is on Hobcaw. They have a student cottage that can accommodate 10 people. Each individual is responsible for their own bed linen, pillow, and towels. The cost per night is $20 for non-students. The University of South Carolina also has a selection of dorms/cottages. You can contact Kim Powers ( for more details on that. They are located within walking distance of Clemson’s facility.
